Surgical Approach
A small infraumbilical incision (typically 5 cm) is used in single-port robotic surgery, allowing for a minimally invasive approach with fewer incisions and faster recovery. Positioned just below the belly button, this entry point enables extraperitoneal access, reducing the risk of intra-abdominal complications. This technique is commonly used for prostatectomy and other urologic procedures, offering patients reduced pain, minimal scarring, and a quicker return to daily activities.
